Taking Public Transit from SLC Airport to Park City
Oct 16, 2026 SLC Mountain Transfers team 6 min read
The two-bus-and-a-train route that costs $2.50, with the actual timetable, the transfer points and when it stops making sense.
Quick answer
- Take the TRAX Green Line from the airport to downtown ($2.50), then the free High Valley Transit 107 bus to Kimball Junction.
- The 107 runs about every 90 minutes. The last bus toward Park City leaves Salt Lake Central at 9:11 p.m. (off-season 2026 timetable).
- From Kimball Junction, free buses (10X and 101) run about every 20 minutes to Canyons Village and Old Town.
- Allow roughly 1 hour 45 minutes with a good connection and close to 3 hours with a bad one.
- UTA's old 902 PC-SLC Connect bus ended in August 2023. The 107 is its replacement.
Yes, you can get from SLC airport to Park City by bus, and it costs $2.50. You ride the TRAX Green Line from the airport to downtown Salt Lake City, transfer to the free High Valley Transit 107 commuter bus to Kimball Junction, then take a free local bus into Park City.
It works well for light packers with a flexible day. The catch is the 107, which runs only about every 90 minutes, so your total time depends on how well the connection lines up.
The route at a glance
| Leg | Service | How often | Ride time | Fare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport to downtown SLC | TRAX Green Line | Every 15 min (30 on Sundays) | About 20–22 min | $2.50 |
| Downtown SLC to Kimball Junction | High Valley Transit 107 | About every 90 min | About 1 hour | Free |
| Kimball Junction to Canyons Village or Old Town | HVT 10X or 101 | About every 20 min | 7–22 min | Free |
With a well-timed connection, airport to Old Town Park City takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. If you just miss a 107, add up to 90 minutes of waiting downtown.
Step 1: TRAX Green Line from the airport
The Airport TRAX station is on the ground level outside the east side of the terminal. The airport's directions are to leave through door 1A and walk east. Buy a ticket at the station machine or in the Transit app before you board. UTA's one-way fare is $2.50, good for two hours on TRAX and local buses.
Per UTA's April 2026 schedule, Green Line trains leave the airport every 15 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, from 5:24 a.m. to 11:24 p.m., and every 30 minutes on Sundays. City Center is about 20 minutes away and Gallivan Plaza about 22.
Get off at Gallivan Plaza (275 S. Main St.). The 107 has a downtown stop at 200 S / Main St (eastbound), about a block north. Check the stop's exact spot in the Transit app or the HVT app before you start walking, especially after dark.
The 107's first stop is Salt Lake Central Station, which the Green Line doesn't serve. You don't need it. The downtown stop is six to seven minutes later on the same bus.
Step 2: the 107 bus to Kimball Junction
The 107 is High Valley Transit's Park City / Salt Lake City commuter line. It's free, runs daily and goes from Salt Lake Central through downtown and the University of Utah, then up I-80 to Jeremy Ranch Park & Ride and Kimball Junction Transit Center.
Heading to Park City, the Salt Lake stops are pickup only, so the bus only stops there if someone is waiting to ride to Park City.
| Leaves 200 S / Main St | Arrives Kimball Junction |
|---|---|
| 6:15 a.m. | 7:07 a.m. |
| 7:47 a.m. | 8:45 a.m. |
| 9:17 a.m. | 10:15 a.m. |
| 10:47 a.m. | 11:45 a.m. |
| 12:17 p.m. | 1:15 p.m. |
| 1:47 p.m. | 2:45 p.m. |
| 3:17 p.m. | 4:15 p.m. |
| 4:47 p.m. | 5:45 p.m. |
| 6:17 p.m. | 7:15 p.m. |
| 7:47 p.m. | 8:45 p.m. |
| 9:17 p.m. | 10:15 p.m. |
Those times include the climb through Parleys Canyon on I-80 in normal conditions. In a snowstorm the bus faces the same traffic and chain-up delays as everyone else.
Step 3: from Kimball Junction into Park City
From Kimball Junction Transit Center, two free High Valley Transit routes cover the main lodging areas:
- 10X The High Line (express): Kimball Junction, Canyons Village Transit Hub, Park Ave Condos, Old Town Transit Center. Every 20 minutes until 8 p.m., running from 5:52 a.m. to just after midnight. Canyons Village is about 7 minutes away, Old Town about 18.
- 101 Spiro / 224 Local: Kimball Junction, Canyons Village, Park City Mountain, Old Town Transit Center. Every 20 minutes, daily from 5:27 a.m. to 11:58 p.m. Kimball Junction to Old Town takes about 22 minutes.
For Deer Valley, Main Street hotels and neighborhoods off the HVT lines, switch to Park City Transit at Old Town Transit Center. Park City's buses have been fare-free since 1975 and serve both ski resorts. Our guide on getting around Park City without a car explains which areas are easy and which aren't.
Going back to the airport
The 107 toward Salt Lake runs the same pattern in reverse. After Jeremy Ranch it's drop-off only, so you can't use it for a short ride between two Salt Lake stops.
| Leaves Kimball Junction | Arrives 200 S / Main St | Arrives Salt Lake Central |
|---|---|---|
| 4:51 a.m. | 5:45 a.m. | 5:55 a.m. |
| 6:21 a.m. | 7:15 a.m. | 7:25 a.m. |
| 7:25 a.m. | 8:19 a.m. | 8:29 a.m. |
| 9:21 a.m. | 10:15 a.m. | 10:25 a.m. |
| 10:51 a.m. | 11:45 a.m. | 11:55 a.m. |
| 12:21 p.m. | 1:15 p.m. | 1:25 p.m. |
| 1:51 p.m. | 2:45 p.m. | 2:55 p.m. |
| 3:21 p.m. | 4:15 p.m. | 4:25 p.m. |
| 4:51 p.m. | 5:45 p.m. | 5:55 p.m. |
| 6:21 p.m. | 7:15 p.m. | 7:25 p.m. |
| 7:51 p.m. | 8:45 p.m. | 8:55 p.m. |
Get off at 200 S / Main St and walk to Gallivan Plaza for a Green Line train toward the airport. Leave a wide margin. With a 90-minute gap between buses, missing one can cost you your flight. Our guide on how early to leave Park City for your flight has the full timing math.
Luggage, skis and kids
High Valley Transit doesn't publish a luggage rule for the 107, and its site describes it as a commuter line. It's a regular transit bus with regular seats. One suitcase and a backpack per person is easy. A ski bag, a boot bag and a suitcase each, for a family of four, is a different trip: a train and two buses, with two transfers. If you plan to bring gear, call HVT at (435) 246-1538 first.
Renting skis in Park City instead of flying with them makes the bus far easier. If you're traveling with young children, read our guide to a Utah ski trip with kids for how car seat rules work in cars, rideshare and hired vehicles.
What happened to the 902
Older guides and forum posts mention UTA's 902 PC-SLC Connect bus. It stopped running in August 2023. High Valley Transit's 107 now covers the Kimball Junction to Salt Lake City run, with the same transfer to TRAX.
When the bus is worth it, and when it isn't
| You are... | Bus and TRAX | Private transfer |
|---|---|---|
| Traveling light, solo or as a couple | Good fit | Faster but costs more |
| Landing at night | Risky after about 8 p.m. | Works any hour |
| Carrying skis for several people | Hard | Simpler (confirm space for ski bags) |
| Staying near a 10X or 101 stop | Simple last leg | Door to door |
| Traveling with kids and strollers | Long, with three vehicles | Child seats on request, booked ahead |
If you land early with a light bag, the bus is a good way to save money. Check the SLC airport ground transportation guide for where everything else picks up, or compare all the options on the SLC airport to Park City route guide.
Common questions
Is there a direct bus from Salt Lake City airport to Park City?
No. There is no public bus straight from the terminal to Park City. You ride the TRAX Green Line from the airport to downtown Salt Lake City, then catch the High Valley Transit 107 to Kimball Junction. Private transfers, shared shuttles and rideshare are the only direct options.
How much does the bus from SLC to Park City cost?
The High Valley Transit 107 and the local buses in Park City are free. The only fare is the TRAX Green Line from the airport, $2.50 one way per UTA, which is good for two hours on TRAX and local UTA buses.
What time is the last bus from Salt Lake City to Park City?
On the timetable High Valley Transit posted for the 2026 off-season, the last 107 to Park City leaves Salt Lake Central at 9:11 p.m. and 200 S / Main St at 9:17 p.m., reaching Kimball Junction at 10:15 p.m. Winter schedules usually change in early December, so check hvtutah.gov before you fly.
Can I take skis on the 107 bus?
High Valley Transit's site doesn't publish a luggage or ski bag rule for the 107. It is a commuter bus with normal seating, so a ski bag plus a suitcase per person can be awkward when it's busy. Call High Valley Transit at (435) 246-1538 before you rely on it with a lot of gear.
